広告ブロックの真相

広告が多すぎてサイト表示が遅いというクライアント様に
広告ブロックのやり方をいくつかお教えしました。
この広告ブロックについては様々な面白話や腹の立つ
話が山のようにあり、その一部を書いてみます。

拙生の場合

例えば非営利の個人的なサイトであっても、どこかの
無料ブログを利用すると広告が表示され、非表示と
するためには何某かのお金を支払うのが殆どですね。
レンタルブログの運営者は企業ですから仕方ない
ことですが、個人サイトに広告は馴染まないと
考えている拙生は自前のブログのほうが手間とお金は
掛かるのですがそれでも自前で続けています。

広告を掲載すればいくらかの収入が得られます。
こんなちっぽけな拙作サイトですが、どこで探し当てたのか
閲覧した大手電子部品通販会社や無線関連メーカから
広告掲載の打診メールが頻繁にに届きます。
しかしいくらかでも金銭を受け取ると、批判など好きに
書けない部分が発生する可能性があり、それでは面白く
ないので、今後も広告掲載をする気は微塵もありません。

拙生にとってパソの前に座る半分の時間はネットサーフィン
（すでに死語か？）をすることです。
サイト閲覧の際にどんどんエスカレートしてくる広告表示に
閉口して、何年か前からは常用しているFirefox(ブラウザ）に
Adblock Plusというアドオンを導入して表示を防いでいます。

最初はこのサイトも広告表示で成り立っているのだろうな・・・
などと寛容な気持ちで広告を表示させていましたが、
あまりにも多くを表示させそのために開くのが遅いサイトが
多くなり、また目に余るような広告を掲載してあったり。。
仕方なくコンテンツブロッカーの導入となりました。
実はFirefox自体にも似たような機能はあるのですが、
標準設定だとあまり効果はないようで、厳格という
設定をすると厳しすぎて表示しないサイトも多々あるんです。。。
どぉせ設定するならしやすいほうを採用することになります。

Adblock Plus

多分コンテンツブロッカーとしては最も有名であり
設定によってはかなり強固なブロッカーです。
導入しっぱなしでも多くの広告がブロックされ
それまで重かった広告多載サイトもサクサク開き
実に快適なので、いじらずにそのままで使用しています。
勿論サイトごとに広告表示のブロックを解除したり
再度ブロックしたりは簡単にできます。

運営企業 VS コンテンツブロッカー

ところでこの広告のブロックは、サイト運営や広告主、
web広告を推進するメディア企業にとっては死活問題であり
目の上のたんこぶであることには間違いありません。
Adblock Plusが機能したアクセスには表示させないという
対抗措置を取ったサイト例もあります。
ブロック解除かブロックする代わりにマイニング（＊）
の手伝いをするかのどちらかわ選択しないと閲覧させない
サイトまで出てきました。
某国ではweb広告推進メディア企業がAdblock Plusの開発元を
訴えるという裁判沙汰にまで発展しました。
予想通り判決は合法となりましたけどね。
　
どっちもどっち？　

とは言え、拙作サイトのように趣味やボランティアなどで
利益を産まなくても良いサイト以外は、無料コンテンツで
あってもどこかで利益を出さなくてはイケナイのは理解できます。
問題はその利益の追求が大きすぎて、またはサイト作成の
センスが悪くてユーザーが鬱陶しいと感じてしまうような
駄目サイトになってしまうことで、運営側とユーザーに
乖離が産まれユーザー側でコンテンツブロックの導入という
事態に至ったたのだと思います。
結局運営側がユーザーにAdblock Plusを導入されない程度の
程よい、かつ健全な広告掲載をすることしか解決策はなさそうです。。。
という結論で本当に良いのでしょうか。。。

Adblock Plusの開発元は企業でありボランティアでも
なそそうですがどぉやってお金を得ているのでしょうか。
お金をくれるなら広告ブロックを外してあげるという方法で
利益を確保しているのは事実なんです。
これじゃあ目の敵にされても仕方ありませんよねぇ。。
表面だけなぞっても分からないことがいっぱいあります。

＊　マイニングについて

閲覧しているパソの余っているCPUパワーを使って
仮想通貨のマイニングの手伝いをするということです。
CoinHiveという仮想通貨マイニングサービスについては
次回に譲りますが、コチラを選ぶと閲覧しているパソに
JavaScriptがダウンロードされマイニングが始まります。
選択（許可）した上でのマイニングは全く問題ないのですが
使うリソースはPCで余剰処理能力の数%と説明があるのに
実際にはかなりのCPUパワーが使われ動作が緩慢になった
というリポートもあり問題も多いようです。

拙生はにとって仮想通貨マイニングは犯罪の温床という
イメージがつきまとっています。
数千の政府系webサイトがクラッキングされ上記の
JavaScriptを埋め込まれ、そのサイトを閲覧したパソにも
ダウンロードされて知らないうちにクラッカーが
仮想通貨Moneroを増やすマイニングの手伝いをさせられていた
という大事件がありましたね。
クラッカーは想像を絶する大金を得たのでしょう。
まったく気に入らないのはBrowseAloud（弱視者用のバリアフリー
機能）にスクリプトを埋め込みやがったことです。。。
おっと、お下品な言葉でしたか。。。＠ｼﾂﾚｲｼﾏｼﾀ
有名なトレントサイトでも運用資金調達のために、ユーザーには
周知せずにスクリプトを埋め込んでいたことが発覚したり。。。
ま、大金が動くところに犯罪が集中する。。。世の常です。

拙生的には10数年前にIntelでやっていたUD Agentに賛同し、
常時6台のパソの余剰CPUパワーを癌に耐性があるとされる
数億種類の分子の検証に使ってもらっていたことがありますが
6台の内3台はそれ専門に、そして6台とも24時間稼働という
電気代の下敷きになりそうなことをプロジェクトが終了するまで
4年半も続けたという力の入れようでしたが、もろ金儲けである
マイニングの手伝いなんてとんでもない。。。となるわけで、
そのようなサイトは閲覧できなくても結構、と言うかコチラから
ご遠慮申し上げます。ｗ
　＊UD Agentも特許が絡めば金儲けですが、白血病の治療薬研究
　　という医療活動部分にのみ賛同し、ネット越し分散処理の
　　技術的興味もあって参加しました。

結論は。。
内情はどぉあれ拙生にとってはナイスなアドオンです。（笑

ジャージー島のお友達からメールがあり、どうやら無線の
コールサインで拙生のサイトを見つけたということです。
日本語で書いてあるので翻訳ソフトを使ってみたけど
ナニ書いてるのかわからないところがあるので英語で書け。。。ですって＾＾；；
英語得意でないの知ってるくせに。。。
で、一回きりっていうお約束で書くことにしました。
こちらも翻訳ソフトで変換した後、おかしなところを
修正しているだけなので、修正漏れも多々あるでしょうし
同じようなもんだと思うのですけどね。
多少の間違いは気にしちゃいられませぬ。ｗ

There are lots of interesting and angry stories
　about ad blocks, so I write some of them.

In my case

However, if I receive a little money,
　it may not be possible to criticize the company.
That’s not interesting for me,
So I have no desire to continue advertising.

I spend half time for net-surfing
　(It’s already a dead word?) when I am front of a PC.
I can not stand the escalating advertisement display
　at the time of site browsing,
　and add the Adblock Plus add-on to Firefox (browser)
　that I use regularly for many years,
　and prevent the display.

Those sites will be made up of advertising display …
At first I was making those ads appear in my feeling of tolerance.

However, because there were a lot of ads displays,

It became introduction of the content blocker unavoidably.

In fact, Firefox has similar functionality.

Adblock Plus　

It is the most famous content blocker
　and is a strong blocker when it is set.
Many ads are blocked just by introducing it,
　and sites that were heavy before that can be browsed lightly.
As it is comfortable as it is, I am useing it as it is.
Of course, it’s easy to unblock the ad display for each site.
　also easy to block again.

By the way, Addblock’s existence is a matter of life
　and death for publishers,
　advertisers and media companies promoting web advertising.
There is no doubt that it is a nuisance to them.
Some sites have taken measures to prevent Adblock Plus
　from showing access when it has functioned.
In addition,there are sites that
　you can not browse unless you choose one.

In one country, a web advertising promotion media company
　sued the developer of Adblock Plus and became a court case.
Judgment became legal as expected, though.

Which one is justice?

However, although hobbies and volunteers like this site
　are sites that do not require profits,
I understand that other sites need to be
　profitable even with free content.
The problem is that the request for the benefit is too large
　or the site creation is bad, so the site
　becomes a useless site that the user feels discouraged.
I think that a big gap was created between the management side
　and the user, and the situation led to the introduction
　of the content block on the user side.
There is no replacement scheme other than making
　the ad site a sound ad site that users
　do not think use Adblock Plus. . .

Is that really good at that conclusion? . .

The creator of Adblock Plus is a company,
　not a volunteer.

It is natural for them to make Adblock Plus an enemy.
There are many things that can not be understood
　just by tracing the surface.

* About mining

It uses the extra CPU power of the PC
　you are browsing to help you mine your virtual currency.

If you choose Help, JavaScript is downloaded to the
　browsing PC and mining starts.
Allowed mining is not a problem at all,
　but there is a report that the resource used is
